Students get free admission
An unusual state law concerning college admissions is now stirring debate among Texas legislators. The law in question requires all public colleges and universities in Texas to automatically admit students who graduate in the top 10 percent of their high school class.

Upper Management at Miller Gallery
Carnegie Mellon’s 2009 Master of Fine Arts thesis exhibition, Upper Management, will be on view from March 20 through April 18 at the Miller Gallery.
The five MFA candidates featured in the exhibition are Jennifer Gooch, Joseph Hays, Samina Mansuri, Michael Nixon, and Gregory Witt.

Carnegie Mellon’s School of Music will host two guest artists from Boston’s New England Conservatory on March 30−31: Russell Sherman, a world-renowned pianist and educator, and Wha Kyung Byun, a highly acclaimed piano teacher.
