Football ? Sophomore halfbackRobert Gimson ran for a career-high 105 yards on 15 carries against Bethany to help lead the Tartans to a 30?15 victory and secure their 31st straight non-losing season. The Tartans threw only six passes the entire game, instead relying on a pounding ground attack. Gimson spelled Sivek, the team?s starter, who also broke 100 yards rushing.

Homecoming victory
The Academic Bowl is back at Carnegie Mellon. In front of a big Homecoming crowd on a warm October morning, Carnegie Mellon used a field goal as time expired to defeat the Case Western Spartans 23?20.
