  • Tartans conquer University of Chicago at home

    After a poor offensive showing against the Washington University in St. Louis Bears two weekends ago, the Tartans rediscovered the offense that had them at 4–0 by the end of September.

    The Tartans played the University of Chicago Maroons on Saturday in their last home game of the season, defeating them 31–14 due to a tremendous rushing performance.

  • Volleyball finishes fifth in UAA

    Carnegie Mellon’s volleyball team competed in the University Athletic Association (UAA) tournament last week, playing Case Western Reserve University on Friday and the University of Rochester on Saturday.
    In the first game against Case Western Reserve, the Tartans won 25–19, but then lost the next two games 25–15 and 25–13, respectively.

  • Swimming and Diving competes in first meet of the season

    The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams put together excellent performances to open their seasons. The men’s team won three of four races, and the women’s team won all four at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Invite this past Friday and Saturday.

  • Kikta approaches Tartan record in loss to Bears

    The Tartans lost a low-scoring bout in St. Louis on Saturday to the Washington University in St. Louis Bears, 25–3. The loss brings the Tartans to 5–3 on the season and the Bears to 3–5.

    Despite the loss, junior wide receiver Tim Kikta moved within 63 yards of the Carnegie Mellon single-season receiving yards record. He tallied 56 receiving yards against the Bears.
