  • Men's soccer finishes week 0-1-1

    Wednesday?s game against the Penn State?Altoona Lions couldn?t hold a candle to last week?s match. The Tartan men?s soccer team, already considered a second-half team, got off to an even slower start than usual this past Wednesday.

    Saturday dawned bright and warm: perfect weather for a soccer game. The Carnegie Mellon men?s soccer team took the field under blue skies as they prepared to face the Mount Union (Ohio) Raiders in their fifth game of the season. The Tartans were undefeated as they took the field, and as they strode off the field at the end of the game following a 3?0 shutout, nothing had changed.

    The women?s tennis team didn?t drop a match in singles play ,getting off to a fantastic start on Thursday in its first home match of the season against California University of Pennsylvania. The Tartans came away with an 8?1 victory, creating a great way for the Tartan women to open their season and an impressive first win on newly refinished courts.

    Young players stepped up as the Tartan women?s soccer team was led offensively by underclassmen in their second victory of their season on Wednesday against Grove City. The Tartans dominated on both sides of the ball and cruised to a 3?0 shutout win.
