    The Carnegie Mellon men’s basketball team let their quick start go for naught against their host, the University of Rochester Yellowjackets, on Saturday, and Rochester prevailed 72–60 in the final regular season game for both teams. The win moves Rochester to 18–7 overall and 9–5 in the University Athletic Association (UAA).

  • Women’s basketball loses 72–57

    The Carnegie Mellon women’s basketball team wrapped up its 2006–2007 season on Saturday with a trip to Rochester, N.Y., to play the 21st-ranked University of Rochester Yellowjackets in University Athletic Association (UAA) action. The Tartans’ strong start did not last as the Yellowjackets took the lead and pulled away to win the game 72–57.

  • Women's basketball drops pair to ranked teams

    The Carnegie Mellon women’s basketball team squared off against two ranked University Athletic Association (UAA) teams this past weekend. The Tartans fell to the 11th-ranked Washington (Mo.) University Bears 72–55 on Friday. They then took on the visiting 22nd-ranked University of Chicago Maroons on Sunday, coming up just short, 65–56, in Skibo Gymnasium on senior day.

    The Carnegie Mellon men’s basketball team wrapped up its four-game road trip with games at Brandeis University on Friday and New York University on Sunday. The Tartans fell to Brandeis 75–52 and lost 78–57 to the NYU Violets. The losses drop the Tartans to 12–9 overall and 5–6 in the University Athletic Association (UAA).
