  • Football team falls on hard times, loses 24–21

    After losing a heartbreaker to Hobart two weeks ago, the Carnegie Mellon football team returned home to the confines of Gesling Stadium, where they had not lost since Nov. 12, 2005, to take on the Allegheny Gators last Saturday.

  • Football suffers first loss

    The Carnegie Mellon football team’s hopes of another perfect season ended Saturday when they lost 27–26 to the Hobart College Statesmen at Boswell Field in Geneva, N.Y. The Tartans (2–1) trailed by a touchdown late in the fourth quarter and mounted a late scoring drive, but it proved to not be enough in the end.

  • Men’s soccer wins 3–2

    The Carnegie Mellon men’s soccer team showed some character and composure in its come-from-behind 3–2 victory over the Juniata Eagles on the road Saturday.

  • Tartan football steamrolls Grove City and Rochester

    The Tartan football team improved to 2–0 on Saturday thanks to a 16–6 victory over the visiting Grove City Wolverines. The win comes a week after the Tartans traveled to the University of Rochester and ran over the Yellowjackets 33–10.

  • Men’s soccer wins first two games

    The Carnegie Mellon men’s soccer team opened up the 2007 season last week with a pair of victories, getting off to a perfect 2–0 start. The Tartans hit the road and defeated Washington & Jefferson 3–1 Wednesday and made their home debut a successful one, beating Westminster College 3–0 Saturday night.
