  • Men’s soccer falls short on the road

    The Tartan men’s soccer team suffered their first two losses of the 2006 season this past week, dropping to a 5–2 record. Their losses came on the road at the hands of Penn State–Altoona on Tuesday and Mount Union College on Saturday. The Tartans came into the week ranked 13th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America top-25 poll.

  • Men’s soccer wins two, remains undefeated

    The Carnegie Mellon men’s soccer team added the Grove City Wolverines and the Juniata Eagles to their list of defeated opponents this past week to improve to a spotless 5–0 on the season.

    The University of Southern California’s (USC’s) former Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush is in the news again, and it’s not because of his successful NFL debut this past week with the New Orleans Saints.

    Coming off a 13-win season and an NCAA Division III tournament appearance in 2005, the Carnegie Mellon men’s soccer team began its 2006 season with three wins — a good start for the continuation of the success they are becoming accustomed to under head coach Nick Gaudioso.
