  • Sweet success for Carnegie Mellon tennis at UAA championship

    This past weekend, the Carnegie Mellon’s men’s and women’s tennis teams both competed in the University Athletic Association Championships held at Emory University in Atlanta. Both teams turned in solid performances, as the women’s team grabbed second place while the men’s team brought home third.

  • Tartan golf team enters final week

    By competing in back-to-back tournaments last week, Carnegie Mellon’s golf team tuned up for next week’s crucial University Athletic Association (UAA) championships, the conference tournament they hope will launch the team into its first ever Division III national bid.

    Last Saturday and Sunday, the Tartans competed in the Edward Jones Shootout in Apollo, Pa.

  • Day two saves golf team from disaster

    The Carnegie Mellon golf team’s string of four top-three finishes ended when they took fifth place at the Mid-Atlantic Regional this past weekend. Although the team played below its high expectations, the Tartans did not leave Hershey, Pa., empty-handed.

  • Tartan golfers fall two short of a victory

    Another tournament meant another impressive performance by Carnegie Mellon’s varsity golf team. Last Thursday, the Tartans hosted the annual Carnegie Mellon Invitational at the Longue Vue Country Club and finished second, firing a 299 in the one-day tournament — two strokes behind Washington & Jefferson University. The Tartans’ B-team finished third, posting a 320.

  • Varsity golf team has high hopes for season

    The Carnegie Mellon golf team capped off a successful week of play with a record-setting victory at the McDaniel College Invitational on Sunday, all the while keeping pace with the their goal of a first-ever appearance in the Division III national championship tournament.
