Track ‘tunes up’ at Kent
The CMU men’s and women’s track and field teams traveled to Kent State University last Saturday, to attend the Kent State Tune-Up. This meet had an open format, where none of the performances were scored. It was held primarily to prepare athletes for upcoming division championships. Swimming finishes fourth in UAA
The Carnegie Mellon men’s and women’s swimming teams, considered to be some of the most formidable opponents to the reigning University Athletic Association (UAA) champion Emory, were unable to pull off an upset at this week’s UAA Championships at Emory University. The meet concluded on Saturday, with both teams finishing fourth overall. The men’s team tallied 453.50 points and the women’s 412.

The women’s basketball team lost the first of a four-game home stretch against third-ranked WaΩshington University in St. Louis on Friday night 83–58. The Tartans got into early foul trouble, allowing the Washington Bears to race to a double-digit lead.
