Last Wednesday and Thursday, Carnegie Mellon students geared up with their suits and résumés as thousands searched for jobs and internships at the Business and Technical Opportunities conferences. Over 100 companies visited campus, ranging from Google to PNC. Here is a look at some post-graduation and career statistics for the Carnegie Mellon Class of 2007:
Average computer science salary upon graduation: $69,985
Average electrical and computing engineering salary upon graduation: $68,459
Average chemical engineering salary upon graduation: $66,676
Percentage of graduates entering the work force: 54
Percentage of graduates going to graduate/professional schools: 26.8
Percentage of graduates obtaining a Ph.D.: 3
