Swimming to compete in UAA Championship
The Carnegie Mellon women’s swimming and diving team hosted and won an invitational on Friday, scoring 592 points. The men's team defeated Clarion and Duquesne but narrowly missed beating Denison after the last relay was disqualified due to a false start.
Men’s basketball trumps #1 Washington University
The Tartans got right back into the league title mix by knocking off University of Chicago Maroons on Friday night and upsetting the Washington University Bears on Sunday.
Tennis starts season off with three strong wins
The Carnegie Mellon tennis teams started off their spring seasons with a bang this weekend. Saturday, the fifth-ranked women's team routed Division II Slippery Rock University 8–1 and Penn State Erie’s Behrend College 9–0. Yesterday, the 14th-ranked men's team was equally impressive in defeating Division II Mercyhurst College 8–1.
Track and field competes in State Farm Games
The Carnegie Mellon men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams traveled to West Virginia University to compete at the State Farm Games on Saturday, Feb. 2.
Women's basketball defeated twice at Skibo
The University of Chicago defeated the Tartans 84–53 on Friday night, and the Washington University (Mo.) edged the Tartans 54–47 on Sunday afternoon. Carnegie Mellon now stand at 7-11 overall and 0-7 in the University Athletic Association (UAA).
