The Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team was in action Thursday as they hosted Penn State Altoona, coming away with a 3?0 victory. All three of the matches were relatively close with scores of 30?28, 30?23, and 30?25.
However, the team was able to hold together after losses against Emory University and Washington University in Saint Louis last week in the first round of the UAA Round Robin.
With this victory Carnegie Mellon moves to a 15?3 overall while the Altoona Lions drop to 8?7. The Tartans will be busy next Saturday and Sunday at the second round of the UAA Round Robin which will be hosted by the University of Chicago.
